    With Crossed Cannons NICE coin!!!
    This is a coin from The Franklin Mint, made as part of a set of British Virgin Island “Treasures” coins. Many of those sets were broken up, and sold for silver content (AKA “melt”). A real shame, as they are all beautiful coins. This one has been well preserved--a fine example of the coiner’s best workmanship. It has a deep cameo finish.
    According to the 46th edition of the “Standard Catalog of World Coins 1901-2000,
    it is BVI KM#48, Sterling silver (.925), ASW=0.5677 ozs. The mintage is NOT stated. Even if the issued  mintage was posted, due to the undocumented melting of so many, it is impossible to know the real population of these.
