Let me start by saying that this car runs and drives great. Starts right up and idles nice and smooth like it should. The VIN is NOT killed like many of the Florida cars. Yes, it can be registered.
Please read all of the details below.
The bad:
The only body damage is the passenger side lower front lip. Looks like they caught a parking block or something.
Both front wheels have curb rash on them.
There are small rock chips/etc from normal driving.
One of the little door "pockets" is missing on the rear drivers side door. Other than that it looks pretty good inside.
So what happened? Water got into the trunk (I think through the rear spoiler which as it turns out is quite common). This is where the battery is located along with several fuse boxes and control modules and is where the front body harness attaches to the fuse boxes/etc. The water shorted out this part of the harness. Because of this the instrument panel is not working as well as the boot/trunk release, taillights, rear spoiler. stereo and the horn. Basically anything you control from the center console and dash is not currently working.
Also, until the gauges work I do not know the actual miles. I'm estimating that they are around what I posted as there is a "next oil change" sticker in the car for 71K. Autocheck says around 58K
To manually open the trunk you remove the one inside light and there's a little release cable. That's why that light is out of place in the picture.
The good:
Power seats work
headlights work
Puddle lights work
power mirrors work
power door locks work
power windows go and down just like they should.
Tires look almost new. Pirelli M&S.
Basically everything seems to work except the items listed above. Car drives just fine. Starts right up and sounds strong.
Here is a listing for the full harness. I think that only the back part should be needed and of that only two of the connectors seem to be bad. https://www.ebay.com/itm/114646503439 and this is the module I think it needs. https://www.ebay.com/itm/265978807644. I am not a mechanic so this is all my opinion.
I'm happy to FT with interested parties to show it running and of course if you're local, come by and see it. Someone with a bit of electrical skill could have a nice car for much less than these go for. It can be started and moved on my property. Will easily drive onto your transporter.
obviously I am selling this as is where is. While this is up for sale as is, I am also looking into doing the repairs myself and have an appointment at a local European Auto shop. They told me they see this often enough to know what I'm talking about... but they don't have time to see it till mid January... As you can see there is no reserve aside from the low starting bid. High bidder wins. No bidders means I send it to the shop and enjoy it for awhile.
