The rose has been around for a very long time – the garden rose has been around for
some 5,000 years and one of the first great grower of roses was the Roman Empire.
The design on the coin features three roses in the shape of a heart, combining two very
powerful symbols of love. In addition, the coin roses are coloured, bringing them to life
and making them stand out for a spectacular display. They are produced to the highest
quality with each precious metal coin struck four times to produce a glorious mirror finish
background with the design sculpted in striking relief. The obverse of the coin features
an effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Ian Rank-Broadley.
