    I bought this for my Prius. But the cigarette lighter plug on my Prius is off when the car is off, which means this can't charge the Prius' battery. This is not the case with many autos. To check, just turn off your car and see if the cigarette lighter still works. If it does, you're golden -- this will be able to charge your battery.
    This is a great way to keep your battery charged if you park at airport, trailhed, etc., for long periods of time. It's also good for things you don't use often, like a boat.
    It's in new condition, having only been out of the box briefly.
