Frankoma Nesting Leaf Trays Set of 2 Lovely Prairie Green Pottery MCM 1950s Vtg

Description

This is a set of vintage 1950s Frankoma nesting leaf shaped serving trays in Prairie Green, models 225 and 226 in fabulous near mint condition.
The larger of the two leaves is approximately 12 inches long and 6 1/2 inches at its widest.  The other leaf is about 9 inches long and 4 3/4 inches at its widest, and nestles quite comfortably into the larger one for storage.
The leaves are made from local Sapulpa clay in Oklahoma, and shaped like long leaves on a tree, and are glazed in the beautiful olive green with highlights in an aqua green - a lovely treatment.  The glaze is both on the inside and outside, right down to the bottom.  The underside bottom of the feet they stand on is plain clay with no green, and is marked "Frankoma, 226 (on the large one) 225 (on the smaller one)" in an easily legible stamp.
The style fits into a Mid Century Modern, or Mission/Western style decor - very flexible.
These have been in my mother's kitchen since I can remember, and I was born in the late 50s.  They've been used off and on, all my life and still have the pristine finish.
This set of two nesting leaves is in Pre Owned and Pristine condition, with no stains, or odors. It has beautiful pottery work with no scratches, cracks, or crazing. The larger leaf has a tiny chip under the tip, otherwise it is in beautiful near mint condition.
