Description
Rare and Hard to Find! Vintage Frankoma OK-2 Oklahoma State Medallion or Trivet, 4" diameter. Presented in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, breaks, crazing or repairs. It has a Prairie green glaze over brown pottery and is an excellently preserved example produced by the Frankoma Pottery Co. of Oklahoma, founded 1933. A great addition to an existing Frankoma or vintage American pottery collection. Trivet or Medallion is approximately 1/4" thick. It came out in 1951 to 1982 when olive green took its place. Sapulpa clay (brick red in color) was made between 1955 to 1980’s Many state trivets were made starting in 1966. This trivet was made sometime between 1966 and 1971 release.This piece has the following decorative motifs:
- State Flag 1907
- Pioneer Woman
- Will Rogers ("I never met a man I didn't like")
- Oil well
- Teepee
