    Description

This is a gorgeous vintage concho belt with an amazing buckle and an assortment of large oval hammered silver discs and smaller, butterfly-shaped ones - 8 of each.
The buckle is in the shape of a decoratively-cut rectangle, adorned with hammered-out designs and stamped trim. On each side of the clasp opening are a row of 3 natural, somewhat oval or teardrop-shaped turquoise stones in raised settings. It is approximately 70mm/7cm/2.75" wide, 55mm/5.5cm/2.2", and 7mm/.7cm/.3" deep.
The larger discs are concave and oval-shaped, cut with a flower-like shape around the edges. In the center is set a turquoise cabochon surrounded by a raised starburst shape. They measure about 68mm/6.8cm/2.7" wide, 57mm/5.7cm/2.25" tall, and 9mm/.9cm/.35" deep.
The butterfly discs have a similar design with the rounded outer edge pattern and hammered, raised lines coming from the oval turquoise in the center - just in the shape of butterflies! Each of these discs is around 30mm/3cm/1.2" wide, 56mm/5.6cm/2.2", and 5mm/.5cm/.2" deep.
The whole thing is about 45.5"/115.57cm long with a 25mm wide piece of leather, and weighs an approximate 369 grams or 13 ounces.
Overall the belt is in great condition; with some wear in the form of small scuffs and scratches in the silver, some darker areas of tarnish and small spots that can be cleaned, and leather wear that is to be expected from a vintage item. One of the concho discs has the piece of metal that holds the piece on the leather bent in which doesn't allow it to move, and I'm sure this can be bent back but I know I will mess something up!
There are some small dark brown spots in a couple areas (one pictured, have more if needed) which may be splashes from the soldering of the brass pieces on the back, as they cannot be removed with cleaning or vinegar as rust would and are not underneath the metal. I am fairly positive these are sterling but I have no way of testing besides a home scratch test; so they may be plated, but I do not believe so.
