This piece has 2 prongs on the back that can be closed once the piece is placed around a chain, double chain, squash blossom, pearls etc. Please see photo of the back to see if this is suitable for your own use. Stamped HMIJ which stands for “handmade Indian jewelry”. Weighs 12.0 grams. And measures approximately 1 ½” x 1 ¾”. Tested  Sterling Silver. Excellent vintage condition, normal wear expected.
