About the Kingston Trio:
The Kingston trio had worldwide fame and success during the 1950’s and 60’s as one of the most widely known bands of the folk era.  Originally from San Francisco's North Beach club scene, they eventually went on to tour the world and peform for millions of fans.  They were “unplugged” before MTV existed and Eric Clapton was still in grade school ;-)
C.F. Martin commemorative guitar picks: A history
Between the years of 1995 and 2006 the Martin company produced a small selection of commerative guitar picks to honor the artists who worked with Martin in designing their own Custom Martin guitars.  These guitar picks are very rare and (to the best of my knowledge) were only produced in the year that the Artist model was offered.
