    Description

This tool does more than just check toe in.
Spin the front tires then spray paint a whit line around the tires and scribe a line .
Set one black rod holder on the number 1 on the gauge. Lock the thumb screw. Then set the pointer on the scribed line. Set the other pointer on the other tires scribed line and lock the thumb screw on the black rod holder. Go to the opposite side of the tires. Front or back depending on were you started. Set the pointer that was NOT set on the number 1 on the scribed line . Loosen the thumb screw on the black other rod holder and then set the pointer on the scribed line. Now you can see your exact toe in the window on the black rod holder.
Once I get the toe set, I set the toe gauge to a certain rib on the both tires. Like the second rib from the out side. I hang it in the trailer and if anything touches either front wheels in the heat race I can grab the toe gauge and set it on the front tires before the feature and know with in a minute if the toe is been knock out .
Pictures 2,3,and 4.If you want to check for a
bent lower A arm set one
    pointer
    (groove
end) into a hole on the frame that is the same on both sides. The set the other pointer (pointed end) on
the grease zert on the ball joint .Then compare the other side. The groove in the pointer sets on the lip of the hole so you can get the same on both sides .Picture 4 shows how the groove in the pointer works
Pictures 5, shows how to check to see if your cross member is centered. Pick a hole on the outside rails that is the same on both sides .Put a pointer with groove in the hole and set the other pointer to hole in the middle of the cross member and compare side to side.
Picture 6 shows how to tell if you frame rails/horns are bent side to side. Pick a hole on the outside rails that is the same on both sides .Put a pointer with groove in the hole and set the other pointer on the front horns that is the came both sides and compare side to
Picture 7 .Centering steering linkage/ Center the center link. Set one pointer on the grease zert of the idler arm and the other pointer on center of pitman shaft and lock black rod holders. Now to see if the pointers will line up with zert on the pitman arm and the zert on idler arm mount. Move center link back and forth till they X out the same distance. Write the measurement from the tool on the crossmember. Next time all you have to do is set the tool to that measurement and move the center link till it lines up with the tool.
Pictures 8 and 9 . Checking to see if rear lower arm mount is bent. Pick a hole on the outside rails that is the same on both sides .Put a pointer with groove in the hole and set the other pointer to the rear lower a arm bracket or bolt and compare to the other side
Picture 10.11and 12.To set a rear trailing arm, J bar
or any rod with 2 hiems to length . Use
½ bolts instead of the pointers . Use the misalignment bushing on the heims to get them to 1/2”Set one black rod holder on zero and the other black rod holder on the length of the rod or arm and lock with thumb screws. No adjust the arm till it fits the gauge.
