You are buying a US Vietnam era canteen set with M1956 cover.

. Canteen is 1972 dated, made by Zarn. Cover is the M1956 canvas type; markings are faded, but it appears this one is contract dated 1966. It has the nylon trim, so definitely a late war example. Cup is an un-dated example, made by Rodgers-Akron.
