A
dapter strap fits on the M-56 suspenders.  Used to carry the field pack (butt pack) on your shoulders instead of being attached to web belt.   2 long straps with an adjustable buckles and a snap hook on each strap attached to a wide canvas web material. The wide canvas piece is stamped with US and on one of the long straps NSN identification is present.  These adaptor straps all in excellent condition & appear to have never been used!
